In memory of Sage

I came into this world for a purpose
though you did not understand,
for you only saw the surface.
Though young in age, I had wisdom from above,
I showed those who knew me a new kind of love.
I was only on loan for a brief time,
Then I was taken to fulfill a destiny that was chosen to be mine
but I'll forever be remembered by those I
left behind, for every time you close your
eyes I'll dance through your mind.
Now don't you worry about me, for I'm forever
safe, for now I live in the most holy place.
When you think of me, know that I do not cry,
for I have wings now and I'm allowed to fly.
And even though you don't seem to understand,
I was one tiny piece in God's holy plan.
So don't mourn for me, for I'm right where I
should be and I have millions of angels
watching over me. I shall see you once again
when your time is near, and you shall be with
me where you'll have no more fear.
So tonight as you close your eyes, there I'll be too, but for now my job is watching over you
